Good day Everyone! Silkki's Reviews is hosting (and sponsoring) a Mega Bloks - Skylanders Giants giveaway. ReplyDeleteIt's never too late to pick up a good hobby, Randi. You should get one again. I know I have wanted one for years, there are so many stitch options out there nowadays it's remarkable the things they can do with the push of a foot. Eventually I hope to have time to pick it up again.

ReplyDeleteThat would have been a fun thing to play with. Did you and your sister make a lot of cool things? Come to think of it, I had a sewing machine when I was little too... I made doll clothes for one of my dollies, I think I still have one dress. I was not the greatest sewing machine operator but it sure was fun to be creative.

DeleteMy brother bought a puppy for my sister and I when we were kids. He said it was a surprise gift for his girlfriend but it was really a surprise gift for my sister and I. One of the best presents we ever received.

DeleteI remember having a real baby that laughs & cries and eats &... well you know.... She was the greatest toy. I felt so cool having a baby just like me. I can't remember what they were called way back then but she was fun to play with. Santa always gives the best gifts.
There were 6 of us & we got a Foosball table one year. We had such a blast with it & we were the talk of the neighborhood.

DeleteOne year my Dad got me a TV. I was in my 20s, a single mom, and really wanted one. It just recently broke actually, had it about 14 years.

DeleteOne year my mom & dad got both my sister & I build a bears for Christmas. They named them after our nicknames sammy for me & sarahabeara for my sister's! We got many more build a bears after that but this was my first and I still have it!

DeleteA teddy bear that my dad gave me, it was 3 feet tall and was handmade by a woman in the US complete with moveable limbs. Beautiful workmanship. My dad picked her up on a trip when he was truck driving. I unfortunately do not have her anymore due to a house fire. I got her when I was 6, still wish I had her.
