<br />
I have decided that I am going to utilize my time spent on <a href="https://amzn.to/3e1yoFp" target="_blank">Amazon</a> looking for <a href="https://amzn.to/37tKEMM" target="_blank">great deals</a> and share them here in posts with you all! As you know I have reviewed products that I have purchased from <a href="https://amzn.to/3e1yoFp" target="_blank">Amazon</a> in the past and will continue to do so. I do place links that take you back to the <a href="https://amzn.to/3e1yoFp" target="_blank">Amazon</a> product on my reviews so that you can purchase the items as well if you would like. But since Covid-19 has brought everyone home and business is now slow, I am not getting nearly as many orders as projected this year, so now I manage to spend most of my day shopping <a href="https://amzn.to/3e1yoFp" target="_blank">Amazon</a> for useful deals for my family that can be delivered right to my door.<br />
<br />
As I was shopping along today looking for <a href="https://amzn.to/30KVAnT" target="_blank">adult coloring books</a> I got thinking, "but wait, why not share this deal with my readers? It's 65% off!!!"<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

I know there are many people in the same situation that we are who shop thrifty and enjoy a great deal when they see one. So I figured I would help my followers and fans out and post some products on here that are <a href="https://www.amazon.ca/gp/goldbox?ref_=nav_cs_gb" target="_blank">great deals</a>, no reviews attached to the deals unless of course I have used it myself, they will be more of a "Hey, check out what I just saw on <a href="https://amzn.to/3e1yoFp" target="_blank">Amazon</a>!!" Yep, that's what I will be doing to help out my readers. You never know what kind of deals I will find that would interest you!!<br />
<br />
With all of that said I want to make sure you all are aware... I know it's posted throughout the website but a reminder never hurts... <b>MY REVIEW:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have to start this by saying, my children loved the original <a href="https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00G5G7EXY/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=asimplertim0a-20&creative=330641&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00G5G7EXY&linkId=36c653e52505218de6afcc2d4c3b96b3" target="_blank">Frozen</a> movie so much that we were given no choice but to watch <a href="https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B081W4YLGN/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=asimplertim0a-20&creative=330641&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B081W4YLGN&linkId=ec407e83d63c36d6322d653fdbcf86e5" target="_blank">Frozen II</a> as soon as it arrived it the mail.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Personally, I feel that it did not disappoint!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This has got to be the first cartoon that we've seen where my husband and I were both in agreement that the characters were US! Kristoff is definitely my husband and Anna is so much like me. It was so crazy to watch the movie unfold and see the two of them interacting with each other and others all the while thinking "that is totally daddy!" and of course "that is just like mommy!" Even the kids saw it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The kids really enjoyed all of the <a href="https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07Y9BGZ54/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=asimplertim0a-20&creative=330641&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B07Y9BGZ54&linkId=fd0cffb6c4603d0b367cda89b6508c8e" target="_blank">new songs</a>, and yes, they now know EVERY ONE OF THEM!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I enjoyed the story line of this movie, showing that not everything is how you believe it to be. Elsa and Anna both finally find their place in the world that they live in and in the end, what was best for all of the people is what happened.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sometimes our journey leads us to unexpected places where we meet unexpected people and our lives change forever in one moment. Anna and Elsa embark on a brand new adventure as Elsa follows something that is calling to her. Why it only started to call now, I'm not sure. But it is calling and she has to listen to it. Unsure what this calling will reveal, unsure of the road to take, the journey ahead is, of course, dangerous. Anna and Elsa make a promise to do whatever it is together but Elsa surely knows that's not possible, and to keep her little sister safe she decides to continue the journey alone. Anna may not agree, may not understand and definitely does not like that she is left behind, Kristoff is feeling a lot of the same emotions, trying to figure out where he belongs in Anna's life, if he belongs. Each character has something to learn in Frozen II and by the end of the movie you realize that all their journeys are connected, each finding their own path that creates the big picture.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Personally, I really like this movie. We have watched it a few times and I feel Disney did a wonderful job with bringing in new characters, new songs and a beautiful story of why Elsa is who she is. If you're children enjoyed the first <a href="https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00G5G7EXY/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=asimplertim0a-20&creative=330641&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00G5G7EXY&linkId=22e1355ea3b153333dd32ad5ea29ab9b" target="_blank">Frozen</a> movie then I would highly recommend getting your hands on <a href="https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B081W4YLGN/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=asimplertim0a-20&creative=330641&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B081W4YLGN&linkId=4a955422fd8e3b362b8b4178eaff303a" target="_blank">Frozen II</a> because they are going to enjoy it as well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have you seen the movie already? If so leave a comment letting me know what you thought of it!</div>

I started working for Canadian Tire again, and everything was going well until it wasn't. My husband was sent away on course last summer and it was just going to be me and the four kids again for the summer, no big deal. But then this time because of working outside of the home, it was. Work had agreed to schedule around the kids softball and camp schedules and everything was going to be great. Until one day they said they weren't going to do that anymore. I wrote my letter of resignation a couple of hours after they let me know and I handed it in that day. You have to know, this was the second time. When we first found out my husband was going away I had given my notice, knowing that our summers are too hectic for the traditional work force. They didn't like that and came to an agreement with me that would allow me to stay, to work and be the mom I needed to be over the summer. So, it wasn't difficult to give that notice the second time. I meant it the first time when I said I needed to be available over the summer for my kids while my husband was and I definitely meant it the second time.<br />
<br />
Now, here were are picking our business back up and going full force with it, because lets face it, the internet is everywhere and that's where most of our business comes from nowadays. I never stopped making things, I just slowed down but now I need to speed up again. I have bills to pay and kids to feed. We know now for sure that I am better off working from home and I intend to make the best of this life for our children. This life we have makes everyone happier than when I work outside of the home. So here I go, living my dream, expanding my business, doing new things. One long time goal of mine was to add sublimation, as many of you know, just before Christmas I had purchased a new Sublimation printer for our business. I did some research and decided to go out on a limb and buy an Epson SC-F570. When I ordered it I was under the impression from the website that the company had the item and would be shipping right to me and I would receive it within the week... Fast forward to January. The company that was freighting my printer across the country had finally received it in the city close to me and I was thrilled, thinking I'd get it the next day.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You have to remember I had been checking tracking every few hours for weeks by this point. Alas, it wasn't scheduled for delivery until the following Tuesday! Insert sadness, so close but so far! I discussed with my husband and decided that we would take the 45 minute drive to pick it up that day if the shipper would release it to me. And they did. Insert the happiest moment of the new year. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGlXCEDWzBM7R6mWOMclCE9RV1Xi2N6whM0UKF8GjXqYtH_LrxZ_bmBDdHMOsbGF2-AQOZ6N0K5MYpzRehV4NwlHdtGCwGaKFmhki0x9MbgfNIz19Nq6WhLh1fsh3p2mhvkIJCo-byEcib/s1600/IMG_20191230_220658.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGlXCEDWzBM7R6mWOMclCE9RV1Xi2N6whM0UKF8GjXqYtH_LrxZ_bmBDdHMOsbGF2-AQOZ6N0K5MYpzRehV4NwlHdtGCwGaKFmhki0x9MbgfNIz19Nq6WhLh1fsh3p2mhvkIJCo-byEcib/s320/IMG_20191230_220658.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
I have been wanting to make the switch to Sublimation printing for a long time and to bring a new printer into the fold instead of spending hundreds, if not thousands on buying sublimation transfers.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So that's exactly what I did.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For those who know me personally you know I'm a go big or go home kind of person. And while this is a blessing it is also a curse because it can definitely get a girl in trouble from time to time.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I decided to take the leap. And I am happy to report that I did not fall flat on my face. I have been having so much fun with my new printer. I design my items in Photoshop and print them on my glorious beast of a printer. Then using my heat press, because with sublimation you have to use a heat press or convection oven, I personally use a heat press to apply the images PERMANENTLY to the mug, the cushion cover, socks, shirts, ornaments. Oh my gosh, I am having a blast.</div>

The very first item I made was a wizard mug for one of my very best friends! There was definitely a learning curve to getting the heating and timing correct on my press but as for the printer it has made the most beautiful prints, perfect every time.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It was very easy to set up and right out of the box, okay crate, this monster came on its own wooden crate it's so big. I would recommend, as does Epson, having someone around to help you carry the printer and move it to wherever you'd like it to go. Not that it's heavy, considering the size it does not seem to be as heavy as expected. But it is awkward to manoeuvre on your own and of course for the money you spend on this beauty, you definitely don't want to have anything happen to it. Don't slip. Don't drop her.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hahaha. So, when setting the printer up I did make an error. It didn't notify me to take tape off of the print head track box, I don't know what it's technically called but that works for me; and when I started the printer it made the most awful noise when that tried to move during setup. I knew exactly what it was, thankfully. But it still startled me. So I would suggest being careful to make sure you have removed all tape and all packaging from this printer before turning it on.<br />
<br />
I made some socks for my daughter with her holding her puppy and his name on them. I was super excited to make them and give them to her. I think she loved them, I hope she did. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have been making so many beautiful items since purchasing this printer. Even my husband said he was very happy that I made this purchase. That brightened my day!</div>
<br />
To say that I am in love with this printer would be an understatement!<br />
<br />
Overall, I just wanted to make a post about how much I love my printer, I have not had any issues with it (except of course the first one which was mostly my fault).<br />
<br />
I would highly recommend if you have a business or are thinking about starting a business that will have a printed Sublimation line that you do your research and consider investing in an Epson SC-F570 printer. I love this printer so much, the images are always so clean, crisp and beautiful. Every time I pull something off the press I am super excited about the finished product. I love them all and I would love to just keep them for myself! But What I love most is sharing the beauty of the finished product with others. So if you need a mug or tshirt or anything else please consider <a href="http://www.sccustomcreations.ca/" target="_blank">SC Custom Creations</a> for your gift giving items.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
If you'd like to see some more items I've been making head over to our Business page on Facebook <a href="http://www.facebook.com/SCCustomCreationsNB" target="_blank">@SCCustomCreationsNB</a> or on Instagram <a href="http://www.instagram.com/SCCustomCreations" target="_blank">@SCCustomCreations</a>.<br />
<br />
As always, thank you for taking the time to read my review and have a wonderful day!<br />

On February 1st I posted a giveaway on my business page and as I was sorting through stuff in the store and getting Mystery Surprise Boxes ready to ship I thought to myself, why not share my giveaway on Silkki's Reviews and Giveaways website for all of my review fans to check out and potentially win?! I mean, that's sort of why I created this website back in 2011, so I could be an outlet for companies to offer giveaways to people. So why not my own business?<br />

<b>MY REVIEW:</b><br />
<br />
I have to admit, I never watched the first Maleficent movie but when this opportunity came up I was super excited to watch Maleficent: Mistress of Evil with my husband and children. Of course my children had watched the first one and were thrilled at the thought of seeing the second one as soon as it came.<br />
<br />
We grabbed our popcorn, sat down and entered into this amazing fantasy world with flying creatures, fairies and a forest with a mind of its own. The children seemed more aware than I was of the characters which only peeked my own curiosity more to learn who they were and watch the first movie later on. I eagerly watched to see what would happen in this movie, quickly to realize who the real "evil" was. I was captivated enough by the characters to plot in my own mind what should happen to each. <br /><br />I truly believe the sign of a great movie is when you become so involved that you plan their moves, you just get lost in the movie. I honestly haven't gotten lost in a movie in a very long time, and although I truly appreciate this movie, I wouldn't necessarily say that I got lost in it. BUT I definitely did love it. Enough to plan a movie night to watch the first one.<br />
<br />
I think my favorite characters in this movie were the little fairies, it's the small things right?! They were so adorable and tiny, beautifully colored little helpers who definitely had important rolls to play. There were a few characters that I would have like to have seen with more of a part in the movie but that didn't take away from it at all. Overall , I think this movie had a lot of adorable characters and was so brightly colored in most scenes. I actually expected a more dark, scary, sort of movie, which is partially what kept me from watching the first one, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely a movie I would recommend as a family movie night kind of movie. I am sure that we will watch it again soon, maybe even as a Maleficent marathon so I can watch the first one too!<br />

<br />
Story of my life.<br />
<br />
So, here we are one week into January, 2020, I have been sick for the past few days but finally coming along. I haven't blogged since December 20th which I feel terrible about but my kids had the couple of weeks off of school starting at that time and life got away from me. As it often does. I will try much harder to post something everyday or as close to it as possible moving forward.<br />
<br />
But, hey, at least Santa thought I was a good girl last year and he brought me some awesome new tools to add to my workshop. I will likely end up doing a review on them at some point in the future. They are coming in handy for my latest project...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_w8Sw3Lz7IU8je2jizyuanzwQOIosMp8KWsIaOhnFuwX9-oDawqPFftGJeyKCoU46ZCuyce99o20mkQACQzCS98GMabJFVLaZsfUNosf7Wz6x8kcnlYFAe1siKmzpIBIuieEj3n5_zrY4/s1600/IMG_20191226_104702.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_w8Sw3Lz7IU8je2jizyuanzwQOIosMp8KWsIaOhnFuwX9-oDawqPFftGJeyKCoU46ZCuyce99o20mkQACQzCS98GMabJFVLaZsfUNosf7Wz6x8kcnlYFAe1siKmzpIBIuieEj3n5_zrY4/s320/IMG_20191226_104702.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
With the kids are back in school now. My husband is finally back to work, after having 2 months off due to back surgery and recovery. It's just me and my store. Renovations continue on the store. I'm working on putting in a new, recycled, floor. I love it. I think it's beautiful and will look amazing once it is all done and I am super excited about the progress so far...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Well, it's been a pleasure but I have to go make some dinner and put my babes to bed. So I will end this here for now and look forward to posting something tomorrow...<br />
<br />
Oh, I have a giveaway coming up so stay tuned for that.Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08014246209936383490noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780271471589269872.post-80816405377258370482019-12-20T18:18:00.000-05:002019-12-20T18:47:17.161-05:00We're Back!!!Hello Everyone,<br />
<br />
I know I haven't really been gone, just relocated to a different website. Well, I'm coming back to where I started it all. It's been just over three years with the other site and unfortunately I am not going to take the time to drag everything over here so those reviews, giveaways and information will all be lost in cyberspace now that I've shut down the other site.<br />
<br />
So, when I tell you a lot has changed I mean A LOT has changed. We packed up the kids, and animals and moved a few provinces from where we started out. What an exciting time that was. In doing so I spent the first little while getting settled, had a job, hated my job, left my job, jumped through hoops to open my business up here and that's just what I did this year! We also got a name change, long story there. So, now that my business is off the ground again and keeping me busy I figured the next logical step would be to turn my attention back to Silkki's Reviews. I have definitely missed reviewing and I hope you've missed my reviews, they hadn't been as often over the past three years. But I am ready to make up for that now.<br />
<br />
So, where to start right?? Well, I figured that I would start with all the movie information that I've been sent recently, upcoming movies, news, trailers, etc. etc.<br />
<br />
Sounds fun, right?!<br />
<br />
I'm going to challenge myself to get back into this full force so be prepared for lots of reading, I will try to post something every single day!<br /><br />For my business I have just ordered a NEW Epson Printer which I am super excited to receive it; once it finally gets here! I can assure you that I will definitely be reviewing it in the New Year!!! I can't wait.<br />
<br />
Well, I'm off for now. Like I said, still super busy but I wanted to reach out and let you all know that I was going to be reviewing products again soon and that I was going to be posting often so stay tuned for what's coming up in the new year :)<br />
<br />
Have a wonderful weekend everyone,<br />
Take Care, Sally!Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08014246209936383490noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780271471589269872.post-23384345535072033742016-10-30T10:56:00.000-04:002016-10-30T10:56:56.967-04:00The Other Side Of The Door<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Maria (Sarah Wayne Callies) becomes consumed with guilt after losing her son Oliver (Logan Creran) in a tragic accident. She learns about a remote Hindu temple where visitors can communicate with the dead to say goodbye for the last time. The grieving mother disobeys a dire warning to never open the ancient door that serves as a mysterious portal. Her failure to follow the rules causes Oliver's restless spirit to return home and haunt the rest of his family (Jeremy Sisto, Sofia Rosinsky).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MY REVIEW:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I was really excited when this movie came up as one to review. I had seen trailers for it and was really excited to finally get to watch it. My husband, eldest daughter and I sat down last night to watch the movie together after the little three went to sleep. It's a "scary" movie so of course my daughter spent most of it cuddled up next to her dad in anticipation of what scary thing was going to happen next.... and it's not really scary, she's just a scaredy-cat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br />I spent the whole movie talking to the television and wondering why she was doing what she was doing. We've all watched the movies where we sit there and yell at the characters "DON'T DO THAT" and they never listen. Why don't they listen? I found the movie very predictable, which was rather disappointing. I wish I had more of the experience that my daughter had. The "edge of your seat" anticipation of what's going to happen next. I would have loved that feel. Sadly, I guess my age is catching up to me and I'm just not as easily scared as I once was. I mean, I watch Stephen King movies as a child and loved the scare factor, I watch them now and wonder why.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As a whole, even though I was disappointed that it wasn't scary and was predictable, I really did like the movie. Maybe different actors may have helped, I'm not sure but this one just didn't have the awesome factor that I like. My husband on the other hand really enjoyed the movie, when it was over he said he really liked it. My daughter, on the other hand, I'm not sure how much she saw through her dad's shoulder haha. I found it quite funny that every time the movie changed music and things got quite you could hear "What's happening?" in a muffled voice from behind daddy's back. All in all, I'd say we each enjoyed the movie for different reasons and definitely enjoyed the time together watching it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I know when I came back at the end of last year I said I was going to be much more active, and I didn't. But there is a reason, a good one I think. Have you ever heard that expression... oh, what is it?... you know the one... Something about having too much on your plate! Well, I don't remember the exact way that the expression goes but it seems to me that when you're plate is already super full and you get the brainy idea that you don't have enough going on so you just add more and more until one day all of your meatballs go tumbling down to the floor. HAHAHA That reminds me of a song...
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JGBE3eLpvm0" width="560"></iframe><br />
Yep, that's the song.<br />
<br />
Anyway, so I guess I jumped ahead of myself when I first said I was coming back. Switching everything here from the years prior has been very time consuming but I'm getting there. I will eventually have everything back here in one place. I guess that overwhelmed me a little and I was spending so much time just transferring from one blog to the other that I got frustrated with myself that I was doing all of the great new posts that I could have been doing. No, this is not an excuse, I'm just letting you know that I'm human and someone sneezed and made my meatballs all go tumbling down to the floor. I have been spending the past 8 months trying to get everything in order again.<br />
<br />
I haven't had much time to sleep let alone do anything that I could review, but that's all going to change. I am going to try to post frequently over the next couple of weeks and then once the four little monsters are gone back to school I will make a point to schedule in some day time with my review blog here. Hopefully some of you are still out there and have been hoping I'd get my act together eventually. I have definitely missed hearing from everyone and sharing my stories with you. I'm excited to be getting back into reviewing and blogging again. I'm going to take it slowly at first so that I don't get overwhelmed but I miss you all and I can't wait to hear what's been going on with you.<br />
<br />
Have a great day everyone!<br />

Has anyone noticed that "Art Therapy" seems to be an exciting thing right now? I personally have always enjoyed coloring, ever since I was a young girl and although growing up I never really saw it as being therapeutic, I definitely see that now. Nowadays you have posters and pictures, coloring books and so much more that are geared towards adults, and yes there are still many for children too.<br />

Our oldest two daughters actually gave each other big posters last year for Christmas, it was kind of funny actually, they did pick different posters but it was still funny. So, I decided that Payette Custom Creations is going to be getting some stock in that will include some Art Therapy Greeting Cards, Washi Tape, and Tags... How exciting!! I mean I know I'm very excited.<br />

I'm pretty excited to bring these to the store because I know that I get the urge some times to sit back and relax, in the tub with candles, okay well maybe not. My four wouldn't let me be alone long enough to have a bath, 5 minutes in the shower is more than enough for mommy... Anyone else run into this issue with children? I thought they were supposed to grow out of it eventually but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon in my house.... So, my relaxing comes in the form of sitting on the front deck after the children have all gone to sleep and I just get to take in the cool August night. The sun setting, the smell of brisk air. That's exactly where I love to spend my nights, and definitely how I like to relax, just me and the nice breeze. Especially lately, we've been having some pretty hot days these past two weeks or so. So, that's my relaxation time. Sometimes I will doodle, I always loved to draw. And other times I'll get right back to work... how about you? How do you like to relax? Leave a comment below letting me know, it counts as one entry into this awesome giveaway...<br />

Good day everyone, This is not a review, this is not a giveaway, it's not even a media announcement, this is a plea from the bottom of my heart to obtain help with something that I think is very important. Something I believe will change the world for one family. But most importantly, I believe this will change the world for one beautiful little girl. All I'm asking from you today is to open up your hearts and read this post in it's entirety. If you donate to this family or not it will not have any effect on myself whatsoever. From the bottom of my heart I hope that as a world destined for greatness, as communities trying to do better things for the world and for each other, I pray that you will check your finances and see if you might be able to help, even a little bit. Please feel free to email me if you'd like to help or the many options available throughout this post. Thank you in advance. (If you follow one of my other websites the rest is the same).....</div>
<br />
As most of you know, the Military community is a large part of my life, how could it not be. Although I am one of those "strong" women who likes to do it on my own; you say strong, I say crazy. I don't ask for help, I stand on the sidelines and cheer everyone else on because I know what it's like and it's not a burden we should bare alone. I do what I can to help those close, and afar. Whether it's a quick text to my friend in NS to say "how are you doing?" Or a Facebook message to say "I know you can do this, You're an amazing woman!" Anything to boost the level of esteem and get them back on the positive track. That's where we all belong and should be. All the while I remain my best support for myself as well. No one really understands, I've said it many times before and will many times again I'm sure. Well, this is my 9 or 10th deployment, I found out recently that a deployment is any time away that is more than 29 days, whether it's training or being gone off to war. So, wow, I've done this at least nine times on my own with four children. I have struggled to help my children and guide them through the most difficult times of our lives so far. It's hard to say it gets better, it gets easier. It doesn't, it truly doesn't. We just get stronger, and more resilient. There is no part of this life that is easy.<br />
<br />
So, with Sailor G being gone once more, deployed for almost 6 months, I spend a lot more time browsing the Military Facebook pages to see "who needs my help today"... of course these people don't really NEED me, I'm sure my little encouraging words aren't changing the world, but they are making someone's day brighter and that is more wonderful than anything in the world. When I am feeling alone and low, that is the time that I really enjoy reaching out to help others. I makes me feel awesome, gives me something to do other than worrying about my husband's ship, what he's doing, where he is, if he's okay.... the thoughts go on and on. I decided to check out the page for my local ladies last week and to my surprise there was a fundraiser, I like fundraisers I really love to help people obtain their goals. But we are not well off people, as you know, we are like everyone else just scrapping the bottom of the barrel hoping to make it through the month without going further in debt. Sadly (but not sadly), I am an impulsive person when it comes to helping others. There is a page on Facebook, I encourage you all to "like" it, please like it. It's called <a href="https://www.facebook.com/paws4molly" target="_blank">Paws4Molly</a> Molly is the cutest little girl. There are so many fundraisers going on right now for this little girl. So many fundraisers because this little girl needs a Service Dog, do you know how much a Service Dog costs? $18,000 is what this family needs to get this little girl the dog that she desperately needs. If you have ever met a Military Family then you know they move around a lot, they have a lot of special qualities on a regular day, but then there is Molly. I have never met this little girl in person. I have met her neighbor, her neighbor who posted a "free sandbox" on Facebook. Her neighbor is running an online Auction and it's going to be fantastic from what I've heard the prizes are so far. I have tried to contact as many local people that I can think of who have a product or service they my be willing to provide for this auction. If you're reading this and you own your own business, would you consider donating please? If you have an online store maybe you could donate a gift certificate? Anything helps.<br />
<img src="https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t1.0-9/11241028_894210593935213_86145500409973136_n.jpg?oh=7ae84e99e7dfaa3c927686f32f6db254&oe=56083BC3" /><br />
Maybe you don't have an online store, or physical store, maybe you're just someone with a big heart that has an extra $5 they can spare?? Any little bit helps, I do not know how much has been saved so far for this Service Dog, I know they have a gofundme account, I also know those take away from the donated money, which I don't think is right. You're donating $10 to a cause you're whole $10 so go to that cause, but that's another rant for another time. This post is all about Molly and her family's need to raise $18,000.<br />
Did you know that if three thousand six hundred people all donated just $5 they would have that goal. Did you know that is the population of a little hamlet? Not a lot of people need to donate to reach this goal. Even a small town donating just $1 would reach their goal, but since there is now little village of 18,000 people standing in line to donate $1 maybe we all could donate some. Please consider donating to this fund. If you had any extra money to spare wouldn't you want it to go to helping a very beautiful little girl? I donated $50 the day I picked up my "free sandbox" and I didn't even need a sandbox, I mean I need a sandbox but could have gone without. I'm very happy that I went in that day, I had only planned on giving $20 but, as I mentioned before, my impulse kicked in and I handed over a nice new $50 that I had been saving for the purchase of my miniature horse. I know $50 is just a small amount in the larger picture of what this family needs (to us it's a huge amount hehe) but it helps Molly. Every bit helps Molly; big or small. These are the days that I wish I could just win the lottery and have some money in the bank to donate to things like this.<br />
<br />
Raising a Military family is difficult enough but to have a child who needs stability while traveling across the country, across the world even, that has got to be tough on this family. I can't even imagine how it must feel for Molly when she's a little older, to pick up and leave everything that is comfortable. This little girl needs something to love, that will love her back, other than her family. I have heard so many great things about service dogs and believe they work wonders for people who need them. There is a little girl right now, in my neighborhood, in my Military Family, who needs this more than anything. Right now she needs to have the comfort, the strength to go through life knowing that this dog will always be there for her.<br />
<br />
These dogs are amazing companions, well trained to help ease the stress and provide comfort for their handlers. Molly needs this dog. #Paws4Molly is looking for donations today and you can help! If you would like to donate to Molly's fund please do so, head over to their <a href="https://www.facebook.com/paws4molly" target="_blank">F</a><a href="https://www.facebook.com/paws4molly" target="_blank">acebook page</a> and offer to donate today. Go to the Online Auction next month and bid on some things (Good Luck) I will post about that when the time comes. The gofundme page is also another way, if you would like to Donate through my website with your paypal or credit card that's available as well. All funds sent to me will go to Molly's family to get them the Service Dog they dream of. This is a goal, a selfless goal, this family has set to make their daughter's life better, to enable her to participate in life as she deserves to. It's going to be a tough road for this little girl, not that it hasn't already been, and she deserves the love of a companion who is their FOR her as this dog will be. These dogs are specially trained to do a job, and from what I have learned Molly would benefit greatly from the blessings of being able to have one of these dogs in her life. Please help if you can.<br />
<br />
I want to leave you with a letter that Molly's Mom wrote to me when I asked for a little background on this little girl.... Thank you and God Bless each and every one of you.....<br />
<blockquote>
<br />"Hi Sally,</blockquote>
<blockquote>
I’ll tell you a bit about Molly and if there’s anything missing that you wanted to know about her, please feel free to ask.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
Molly was diagnosed at birth with Down syndrome and hypotonia (low muscle tone). She had a lot of feeding difficulties from the start, and on her first day of life, they had to insert an NG (nasogastric) tube to ensure she was consuming enough milk. We’d try nursing or bottle feeding, but she just couldn’t do it. She spent her first 16 days in the NICU, and that is where my husband and I learned how to feed her via her NG tube.<br />We brought her home and within weeks, she was also diagnosed with reflux for which she was put on medication. She remains on that medication to this day. Having the NG tube on her face was very inconvenient for her (and us) and it delayed her physical development. We also blamed the NG tube for the daily bouts of projectile vomiting she had.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
She started speaking around 13 months old. Her first (and only) word, was Ma-ma-ma. I loved it. She started sitting up unassisted at 14 months old. At 17 months old, she had surgery for her G-tube, which she still has to this day. Unfortunately, the daily projectile vomiting did not go away once the NG tube was gone, so I started searching for a solution. I found one, in the form of a blended diet. At 23 months of age, we transitioned Molly to a blended diet of ‘real’ food. It changed her life (and ours). Her projectile vomiting went away the very day we took her off of formula, and it has never returned. Molly is now fed four times a day via her G-tube. She gets the same food as we eat, except I blend it first in our blender, then pour it through a strainer to ensure there are no lumps that could clog her G-tube. She cannot eat anything by mouth. It causes her reflux to act up, and we believe she also dislikes the textures in her mouth. <br />Around the time of Molly’s G-tube surgery, I realized she had stopped saying Ma-ma-ma. She also spent a lot of time staring up at lights and flapping her hands in the air. She had also stopped making eye contact. I brought up my concerns with our pediatrician. I told her that I felt Molly was showing signs of autism. We were in a ‘watch and wait’ pattern for a while, but finally this past January, Molly received her official diagnosis of autism.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
As a military family, we know we are going to be moving around a lot, and it is going to be very stressful for Molly and us each time we have to move to a new place and start her at a new school and train them on her feeding and all of her needs. A service dog is going to be a constant companion to Molly. The dog will be allowed access to all public places, be it her school, her doctor’s office or hospital visits. It will be wonderful for her to have this constant friend at her side each time she has to start at a new school. Her dog will be trained to do things such as pressing the button on the exterior of a building to open it and acting as a barrier between her and the public if she gets stressed. The dog will also be trained to sense when she is getting upset and will place firm but gentle pressure on her legs to calm her, as pressure is very calming to Molly."</blockquote>

BURBANK, Calif. (April 24, 2015) – Thanks to support from moviegoers nationwide, Disneynature and Conservation International are pleased to announce the results of their conservation initiative tied to the new movie “<b>Monkey Kingdom</b>,” in theatres now. As part of the program, Disneynature committed a portion of opening week ticket sales (April 17-23, 2015) through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund in support of conservation projects in Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Indonesia, including:<br />
· Programs working across 1 million acres of some of the world’s most biologically diverse ecosystems<br />
· Protection of important habitats for thousands of species, including 29 different types of primates and other wildlife such as Asian elephants, Javan leopards, sun bears and the giant ibis<br />
· Planting thousands of trees to create a “green wall” that protects two major national parks and a watershed that provides fresh water to more than 30 million people<br />
· Educating visitors, community members and school children about the importance of local conservation of nearby endangered habitat<br />
· Ranger training and patrols to monitor and protect 185 acres of endangered forests<br />
· Operation of a gibbon rescue-and-rehabilitation center<br />
“Disneynature’s films help the audience care about and understand nature,” said Peter Seligmann, Chairman and CEO of Conservation International. “That alone is an incredibly important contribution to conservation. But Disneynature does more than tell a powerful, emotional story. It is committed to supporting programs in the field that directly benefit at-risk ecosystems, as well as the animals and people that depend upon them. This kind of support helps organizations like Conservation International create lasting impact on the ground.”<br />
“Disneynature films are created to entertain and engage audiences while contributing in a meaningful way to the planet, and Monkey Kingdom succeeds in both,” said Paul Baribault, Vice President, Marketing, The Walt Disney Studios. “With these films, Disney is proud to support the work of leading organizations like Conservation International in preserving our natural world for future generations.”<br />

<b><i>About The Movie</i></b><br />
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,” Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colourful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighbouring monkeys, Maya's whole family retreats, and she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to uncover untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.<br />
Featuring a rich variety of characters, including a mischievous mongoose, simple-minded langur monkeys, predatory leopards and monitor lizards, “Monkey Kingdom” is narrated by Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), directed by Mark Linfield (“Chimpanzee,” “Earth”) and co-directed by Alastair Fothergill (“Chimpanzee,” “Bears”). With music from award-winning composer Harry Gregson-Williams ("The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," “Shrek” movies), Disneynature’s eighth True Life Adventure—the follow-up to 2014’s “Bears”—swings into theatres April 17, 2015.<br />

<i>About DisneyNature</i><br />
Disneynature was launched in April 2008. Its mission is to bring the world’s top nature filmmakers together to share a wide variety of wildlife stories on the big screen in order to engage, inspire and educate theatrical audiences everywhere. Walt Disney was a pioneer in wildlife filmmaking, producing 13 True-Life Adventure motion pictures between 1948 and 1960, which earned eight Academy Awards®. The first five Disneynature films, “Earth,” “Oceans,” “African Cats,” “Chimpanzee,” and “Bears” are five of the top six highest overall grossing feature-length nature films to date, with “Chimpanzee” garnering a record-breaking opening weekend for the genre. Disneynature’s commitment to conservation is a key pillar of the label and the films empower the audience to help make a difference. Through donations tied to opening-week attendance for all five films, Disneynature, through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, has planted three million trees in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, established 40,000 acres of marine protected area in The Bahamas, protected 65,000 acres of savanna in Kenya, protected nearly 130,000 acres of wild chimpanzee habitat, cared for chimpanzees, educated 60,000 school children about chimpanzee conservation and funded research and restoration grants in U.S. National Parks, supporting conservation projects across U.S. National Parks and protecting endangered species. I'm slowly bringing things over here to this website but I'm not sure if I should continue... Am I wasting my time? Does anyone care to read what I've done since December 2013? Will you go back in time to read them? I have been copying and pasting, just making sure to date stamp them for when they were really written but I don't know. Should I move over all my reviews, all of my giveaways (obviously they are all closed now) and all the media announcements(which are all old news now)? I don't want to deprive you of my opinions if there is a post you didn't read while I was on the other website, it was so confusing and a pain in the but that it really wouldn't surprise me if people didn't follow me there. Please give me your opinion, should I keep posting everything? Will you read it? Comment below and let me know if you have any interest in those things from the past, or should I just delete the old website and move forward with reviews, giveaways and media announcements coming in the future? Let me know your thoughts!!Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08014246209936383490noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780271471589269872.post-45160851581652452662015-03-16T15:56:00.000-04:002016-12-14T14:59:33.722-05:00I'm back....Good day everyone. I am back. It has been a little over a year now, a year and close to four months to be exact. So much has happened for us. We were finally able to buy a house, we applied to be foster parents. So much to go on about but not enough time right now. I'm so thrilled I finally got this website to work again, it took a little while I couldn't get it to stop redirecting to yola.com even after I deleted the connection. It was getting very frustrating. At first I thought I would love yola.com, thought it would be perfect to wrap everything all in one. But in the past year I have become so frustrated with the host that I was ready just to give up on blogging all together. Instead, I turned back the clock and came back here. I love blogger.com. It is a very user friendly site. I couldn't get anything to work properly for blogging purposes at Yola.com. They have it set up so the landing page cannot be a blog which really sucked. Maybe one day I will go back, but for now I'm here. Enjoying my easy blog platform. I will catch you all up on things very shortly, but for now I need to get dinner ready. :) It feels so good to be back here. I hope to get you all caught up soon. Take care.Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08014246209936383490noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5780271471589269872.post-55177076367495483892015-02-27T12:01:00.000-05:002015-02-27T12:01:14.825-05:00HomeDreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox are pleased to share a NEW lyric video for “Feel the Light” by Jennifer Lopez, for the upcoming animation HOME! As some of you may already know (since I have been so absent lately trying to get this new business off the ground)... I make jewelry, among other things, but today we're talking about the jewelry I make. And since today is my birthday and I'm feeling super old I thought I would give away a couple of pairs of earrings to some fans of <a href="http://www.facebook.com/silkkiskountrykrafts" target="_blank">Silkki's Kountry Krafts</a>.<br />

I know a lot of you were following that page at one time but I closed the original fan page and have started a new one. I'm trying to build my followers back up so that I can share my crafts with many people. If you would like to enter my giveaway you just need to be a fan, there are three mandatory entries, the usual, like comment and let me know what you want to win. This is different from what I usually do here because I not including Silkki's Reviews in any of the Entry options... Shocker, I know.<br />
