Disney Planes

This morning after the big three went off to school Little Miss B and I watched Disney's Planes. We've been enjoying some "low flying" action. I can't believe it, a plane who's afraid to fly high. It's quite a cute movie.

MY REVIEW:

"Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.

I am very happy that I've been able to review this book, blessed if you will. As with many other things, this book came into my life at a time that I believe I could use it most. I really needed this, many other times in my life I would have liked to have had this to read. But as with the other things, God sent it to me when I was ready to have it.

God has given me a fantastic life, it's been very difficult at times, many times actually but I've tried my best to make the best of it. I know life isn't always an easy one, and at times it doesn't feel like it's ever easy. But as this book helps me to remember, God has a plan for me and I may not see it now but I definitely know that it's true. I know that he loves me and that I'm to serve him on this planet. I've always tried to strive to be a better person, sometimes I've fallen on just being good and other times not such a good person but I know he loves me, now, then and always. I struggle some times when times get tough, in sadness and in sorrow, when it feels like the whole world is against me that is when I need him most and it doesn't always feel like he's there. I know that I will be able to reference this book during those times and I will be able to read wonderful words that touch the heart, words that come from Our Father, words that I will need for many different subjects, for many different reasons. I will be able to stand strong against the evils knowing that these words, although not written just for me, are just for me.

There are different subjects covered within the pages of this beautiful book and over our lifetimes we will face them all. Why not have a little guidance with them, put a little faith in the love of God.

If you need to some reassurance that God loves you, that he will be there for you when you need him, I would suggest reading this book. He is always around us but not always visible, not always felt but that should not discourage you from believing, from honoring his presence. God loves me and I know he loves you too.

I feel very blessed to have been given the chance to read this book.

Another successful Snack Swap. My eldest loved her Yoplait Original so much that she ate it very quickly. I didn't even get to taste it, and it was strawberry, which is my favorite yogurt flavor. I felt so ripped off. I would have enjoyed some but she ate it all.

MY REVIEW:
It's nice to find a book that finely goes deeper than telling you where to put things. I've often said to my husband and my close friends that I feel these books are very silly. Telling you what you need to buy to be able to organize your home, but never even polishing the surface of the mental aspect of organization. I really like this book and appreciate the time that the "experts" put into it in order to share with others the true keys to organizing. It's not about putting all your ducks in a row, it's a lifestyle, it's changing habits and building routines. I am so happy that I was able to read this book and learn some new things and strengthen the knowledge that I already had about it.

For awhile I thought I was the only one who felt it went deeper than placing everything in chronological order. I have struggled for years with "letting things build up", thinking "eventually, they're going to get the hint" but sadly it never works, no matter how much time and energy I put into making the house clean and organized, without the mental state that I am in, my family quickly lets it get out of hand again, and yes, of course I am to blame for allowing it to happen but one day they will learn right?! This book has helped me realize my greatest fear.. my husband and children will never be organized the way I am, the way I want them to be. I have let my house go too many times, I've bought the shelving, the cases, the boxes, I have tried to color coordinate, I've tried it all but it's just not in them. I guess, I will be the organized one and try to figure a way to build that into their personalities but I need to get back to cleaning and stop letting it get away from me in hope that the kids would pick it up.

I am very thankful that I've had the opportunity to review this book, I think it's a great guide for anyone, if you have ever felt overwhelmed by the "mess" the "clutter" and the disorganization of your home this book is for you. You may realize what aspect you're missing to keep your house organized and together. I know it has helped me, guided me, given me more things to think about and knowledge to share with my family. I still hope eventually they will all get it and it will mean less work for me and more of a group effort. I think my favorite part is that I now have in writing how to prevent my husband from being a hoarder. We will be able to sift through all the "junk" (that's my word for it) that we have around the house that "might be used one day". Ugh, those are my least favorite things. Usually those things are either really little and there are so many of them or they're really big and take up a big spot.

I really like this book, it is a great guide. I am fairly certain that anyone and everyone can take something from this book and put it into practice in your own home. Good luck with your organization challenges.

Winter is Upon Us

I don't know about the rest of you but I was very happy to wake up this morning. The kids all came running into our room asking if today was a snow day. And of course it was. The snow started yesterday and although we don't have much we sure have a beautiful site from our kitchen window again. Oh what fun.

Personally love winter, not the cold mind you because I really cannot tolerate cold temperatures, but I sure love the beauty of winter. I love the view from my window and I've been singing winter related Christmas songs all morning. It's absolutely lovely out. This afternoon we will be making snowmen, if it's packy enough, and we'll be making snow angels. The kids are all so excited to get out into the snow and play. Who can blame them.

MY REVIEW:
This program provides an abundance of information for parents as well as all the key features to ease children into the joy of reading. Of course growing up I personally enjoyed reading and listening to Nursery Rhymes, who didn't right?! I have always sang them to my own children, especially when they were young and not ready for bed even though mommy was exhausted after a long day of rearing children with not much of a break. Through this program I have gained accessed to new rhymes that I'd never heard before which makes me incredibly happy. I think they're all wonderful and are helping my children learn to read in the process of enjoying some fun rhymes. Through repetition we gain knowledge. This program offers stages to get your children on the path of reading and I think my children will benefit from it in the long run. My youngest is already doing much better with her reading (she's only three) and her favorite story to read to us is Are You My Mother? My husband was surprised the first time she read it to him. I was very happy with her progress. We have been reading that book long before this system came into our lives but I think this is definitely helping with other stories.

It's about teaching the basics before jumping into reading stories, allowing your child to ease into reading while making it fun and learning letter sounds etc. I'm very happy to have been given the opportunity to review this because I think in the end Little Miss B and My Little Man will be better off for the knowledge I have gained to help guide them into reading without instilling any dislike towards it. There is nothing worse than trying to teach a child something they have no interest in at the time, or worse yet, something they find boring. Even though this program is on my computer and not as easy as it would be had I purchased the physical books, I have been able to incorporate some fun in this and my children are seeming to be engaged and not having any negativity towards "learning". It's fun for them and that makes it easy.

If you have little ones that you would like to teach to read then this Learning Reading Program might be worthwhile for you. There are many stories and rhymes and adventures to be had. Plus you, as the parent, can learn a great way to teach your child something they will carry with them for as long as they live. I think this is a great opportunity for everyone involved to learn something new. There are many easy to read stories for beginner readers as well as some that more advanced child readers could enjoy reading to you.

I don't know about you but I personally LOVE Hugh Jackman and Wolverine has always been my favorite character. Cartoon or live action, Jackman has definitely made that more of an interest for me! *SIGH*

I thought this would be a wonderful gift for someone at Christmas, can you save it until then? I know I would love this to be under my tree, again, HUGE fan. I have watched all of the X-Men movies, actually my eldest daughter and a good friend of mine had a movie marathon one night and we watched the first few but then got tired, so my daughter and I finished watching the next night.

There is something absolutely captivating about these movies. I'm very excited to see what this one has in store for us!

Week One of The Weekly Snack Swap November 21

When you give your child(ren) an after school snack what's the first thing you grab? Chips, cookies, some other form of "junk" food? Why not opt for a Yogurt? I really think that yogurt is a great source of nutrition, I never ate it much growing up because my mother did not like it but I sure love it. I will eat it by the tub full.

I have been challenged to give my children one Yoplait yogurt every Thursday for one month instead of a less nutritious snack. My Snack Swap has been very fun as my children love yogurt and it was very easy for them to enjoy some healthier alternatives. I don't usually buy junk food, so we swapped out some Goldfish for the Yogurt.

We loved the Yoplait original yogurt, strawberry is a favorite but Vanilla is also a favorite. Peach is also a welcome addition to the snack lineup. The kids really enjoy having yogurt in their diet, I really like it because it's healthy and gets them some extra dairy.

Relish Meal Planning Service

I'm so excited to have been chosen to be one of the few who got to review the Relish Meal Planning Service website. Within my house sometimes choosing meals is not as easy as it should be. With six people, especially lately, we're finding it very hard to please everyone's tastes all the time. Relish has given us the opportunity to get out of the dinner rut for good. They say that with this plan there will be no more mundane meals or last minute stops at the grocery store. Each week I get to choose the dinners we're are going to make and I just have to print out the grocery list and recipes for the meals, sounds simple enough. They even offer comprehensive freezer meals, which I will likely take advantage of considering how busy I am with everything and everyone, I don't always have time to make a huge meal from scratch. I think it will be a fantastic option to be able to make homemade meals ahead of time and pop them into the freezer.

Each week I will get to choose from a new list of delicious recipes, with any luck there will not be much repeating of recipes or meal options. I can also choose some of their kid-friendly recipes which I am most looking forward to because I'm really getting tired of my Krazy Kountry Kids always complaining they don't like the dinner. They also have some quick, simple-gourmet or vegetarian options as well but the kid-friendly ones are likely going to be my family favorites.

They will provide me with a comprehensive grocery list that will cut down on my grocery bill and hopefully make shopping for food so much easier. This delicious establishment was placed on a list of the Top 50 Restaurants in Canada (Vacay.ca). The ambiance is just as beautiful as the environment around you. What do you think The Wolverine would order? Maybe a salad?

Visit Dinosaur Provincial Park

Dinosaurs and The Wolverine, so much in common, right? Anyway, the Dinosaur Provincial Park is a must see if you are going to Alberta! You can be involved in a dinosaur dig and even camp on the grounds! This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

MY REVIEW:

This book is right up my alley. I love crime dramas, adventures, stories. I really enjoy the excitement and thrill of reading (or watching) things related to police or the FBI, etc. I get really involved in the stories and my mind starts to wander, as if I was there. There is just something "real" about it, I mean, it really could happen right?

I think if you enjoy the thrill and excitement of finding the bad guy, guessing "who did it" and trying to figure out the case, then I believe this book would be of interest to you. I think the twists and turns and excitement of journeying down the different paths that eventually connect in their own ways was one of the more thrilling parts for me. The book could easily be confusing if you're not paying attention to the whole story but it's a great read. You will not be sorry you picked up the book, but if you get lost in the story and find it hard to escape back to reality don't blame me. I am warning you, this story was easy become part of.

My reading experience with this book was very enjoyable. I look forward to more work by this writer.

Siris just wants to go back to being a mega popstar and has no interest in being a monster hunter. Thrown together against their will (and better judgement) how will these former friends do on their first case?

WARNING: The books in the Parliament of Twilight series are intended for mature readers with enough sense to know the difference between erotic fantasy and reality. There are some scenes of violence, gore, and/or horror movie like creepiness that not all readers will appreciate.

MY REVIEW:

I really found this book to be enjoyable, I found it to be very intriguing. This book has explicit sex scenes between two men and some graphic violence, so it might not be for everyone but I did really enjoy this book. I found it to be intriguing and well written, I didn't want to put it down. From the very beginning I wanted to continue reading, even though it took me into the wee hours of the morning and I could barely keep my eyes open. I thought the book was very entertaining and enjoyable. It was captivating to say the least. There are some books you just get absorb into and this was one. I was not expecting what I found within the pages of the story.

I am very interested to see what unfolds in the next book. This will be a good read for anyone who enjoys a little paranormal activity in their stories. This book is sure to not disappoint!!
