Habitat for Humanity Niagara

I got this in my email today and I really wanted to share it with everyone just in case any of you wonderful readers are in Niagara region.
I'm a HUGE fan of Habitat for Humanity Canada.  I have on many occasions in the past I have wanted to apply, but always convinced myself that their are many others out there who need the services much more than my family does/did.  We struggle many days of the month but how many people out there don't?  I can't think of many.  Work hard and do what you can, that's all we can do.  Habitat for Humanity provides a wonderful service to many people throughout the entire world.  I really think many people do not understand just exactly what it is that they do.  Many people feel that people are "getting homes for free", these homes aren't free!  The families still pay a mortgage, it is interest free, they have to work 500 sweat equity hours (that may be different in other locations around, but that's what it is in my region).  It's not a free home, it's an easier more affordable way for low income families to be able to purchase a home of their own.  Look into it people, don't just jump to conclusions.  Well, I need to get going, my daughter and I are going to watch some TV.

Have a good night, and again if you're in the Niagara region please have a day out and go to this event.
