If read in it's entirety, this book (Job Interview) is all you need to pass a job interview successfully. It contains no-nonsense, straight to the point advice and tips on how to pass a job interview. What you need to do before going to a job interview and what you should do during the job interview are all buttressed.
MY REVIEW:
I've enjoyed reading this book and learning some very valuable information to carry with me if and when I have a job interview again. There are many insightful pieces of information contained in this book. I found most things to be "common sense" but then again, common sense doesn't seem to be very common nowadays so I can understand why it may need to be written down for some.
I think this book would be best suited for youth just going into the workforce for the first time. Call me naive but I think most adults should know many, if not all the things in this book, but just in case it would be a useful tool for them as well. I did learn some things that I could take with me, so I guess everyone could learn a little from this book. And really, even if you only pick up one new thing wouldn't it be worth it if you got that job you've always wanted?
I have a stronger understanding of what information to provide and how to conduct myself better in a job interview, I think this will help. Of course, my job interviews are a little different than going into businesses and applying but I know I can use information from this book to help me better when I'm being interviewed by home owners.
If you're looking for a job and you've gone to numerous interviews with no luck then maybe this book is just the advantage that you're looking for to leave the next interview with a job. How fantastic would that be?! Good luck everyone!
