Christmas Carols: Do You Hear What I Hear

Christmas is my favorite time of year.  Family and friends get together and show their love, strangers volunteer to help the "needy", the people they've never even met.  There are toy drives and clothing drives and everyone pitches in to help one another.  I really wish every day of the year people were filled with the love and compassion they feel at Christmas time.  There really is no time frame that you have to follow to help people out.

With four children I do find it difficult to help out with great amounts of money throughout the year, some days it's harder to get by for us than others but we make it through, and we help out in other ways.  There are so many things you can do to help, donate used clothing that are in good shape, donate your time to a local food bank or shelter of some sort.  It's really easy to give a little time.  If you have some extra time, some canned food that's been sitting in your cupboard that you don't feel like eating yet, a few extra dollars... please consider sharing that with others, a little goes a long way for some.

I love Christmas so much that I'm sharing some Christmas Carols all the way until Christmas.  I hope you'll come back and sing along until Christmas Day.

Do You Hear What I Hear

Said the night wind to the little lamb,
"Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb,
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite,
With a tail as big as a kite."

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy,
"Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy,
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the the sea,
With a voice as big as the the sea."

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king,
"Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king,
Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold,
Let us bring him silver and gold."

Said the king to the people everywhere,
"Listen to what I say
Pray for peace, people, everywhere,
Listen to what I say
The Child, the Child sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light,
He will bring us goodness and light."
