MY REVIEW:
I must admit I didn't know much about the assassination of President Lincoln, partially to blame is that I'm Canadian and didn't learn this in history class.  I am, however, very happy that I was given this movie to review because it allowed me to see the side of a man that I did not know.  I mean, I knew he was the President, former President, but I didn't know what he stood for, what he was trying to accomplish, essentially what got him killed.  I didn't know that he truly was a remarkable man, it's too bad others of that time couldn't see past their own foolish pride.  I have strong opinions and I'm not one to budge from them, I believe that all politicians are crooks and get paid way to much, they say they'll do things but never do, never try to, never ever desire to change...BUT... then there was Lincoln, he was trying to make a difference, and he was succeeding.  Too bad some people didn't like that.  The U.S. would have been such a different place had Lincoln's reign as President lasted longer.  I really enjoyed learning this about the American history.  I feel bad that one of the "greatest presidents of the U.S.A." was murdered in such a way, in any way.  It really does bother me that some people weren't accepting of the change, that a great man was killed because he was making the country a better place.  He was a kind, gentle and caring man who was making a better place for children, he wanted so much more for the country and the people of it.  This is a great look at the death of Lincoln, the events leading up to it and the days that followed, the consequences faced by the parties involved and the outcomes of the families.

If you are a "history buff" or someone who just likes the past then you should check this movie out.  It came out June 11th and it's a very good telling of what happened on the days surrounding the death of President Lincoln.  Enjoy...

I give this movie 2 out of 2 thumbs up!!

~~I received the movie mentioned above for free in exchange for my written review of my honest opinion. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers~~
