MY REVIEW:

I was really excited to review this book.  We just got a puppy a couple months ago and while she’s doing great she could definitely use a little more training.  I think this book has given me the basics to lay a great foundation for her training.  I am not expecting miracles but I do believe that I have a great start.  I think anyone could use these basic teaching techniques to help start their dogs on the right path of training success.  I can’t wait to put into use many of these tips.  I hope it really helps her learn to STAY!!! She’s a smart dog and I know that it’s actually My Sailor and I who need to be trained before we can pass along our knowledge to her.  I thought that our older beast would help her learn to be a good girl, he’s a fantastic boy and he will be getting some of this training as well, unfortunately instead of her learning to be a good girl from him he has learned how to be a dorky disobedient puppy from her.  UGH!! My hands are full enough, but luckily this book came into my life and I know the dogs will both benefit from its teachings.

  I can’t wait to show the dogs what I’ve learned, and I can’t wait to see what they have learned from me.  I will refer to this book on numerous occasions while training them.  Would make great beginners resource.
